Team Building

Involve's corporate culture takes a significant step forward with the introduction of Matilda Galluzzo, handpicked by CEO Jonathan Polotto to co-lead the HR Management. Matilda’s role is pivotal in overseeing the onboarding of new hires, highlighting the importance of a structured and welcoming integration process. This careful approach ensures that every new member feels immediately part of the Involve Space family, understanding the company's values, goals, and their personal role in achieving these objectives. Furthermore, Matilda takes charge of talent management, collaborating closely with Jonathan to organize corporate cohesion activities, including team-building events.

Two team building events each year:

As the team continues to grow, Involve has decided to organize two team-building events each year. One will be an off-site retreat lasting a few days, exclusively for the core team—key figures as well as those identified as part of the stabilization team and hired by September 2024. The other will be a one-day team-building activity held at or near the headquarters, featuring recreational and fun activities open to all team members, whose numbers are expected to increase significantly over time.

This approach ensures team cohesion while adhering to a clear and generally tight budget, maintaining a critical focus on fostering a united team. It is worth noting that the excellent financial management allowed the core team (with 14 participants) to spend three days in Marrakesh, Morocco, during Q3.

The trip combined remote working with post-work excursions such as desert quad biking and camel rides, with the total cost for all participants, including excursions, flights, transfers, food, and accommodation, amounting to approximately €3,000 (around €200/person).

Team wishlist: our corporate welfare

In addition to fostering a strong sense of community and innovation within its corporate culture, Involve Space has launched a unique initiative known as the "Team Wishlist." This initiative reflects a deep appreciation for the team's hard work and dedication, allowing each member to aspire to a gift every quarter of the year with a maximum budget to respect, but there's an exciting twist: team members have the option to accumulate their quarterly bonuses to opt for a more expensive gift at the end of the year.

However, the Team Wishlist is more than just a rewards program. Gifts are approved based on a demonstration of additional commitment in the past quarter, such as greater work dedication, dedicated overtime, additional tasks related to one's role, or having played a crucial part in helping the company achieve important results and milestones. This criterion ensures that the rewards are meaningful and earned, reinforcing the values of excellence and commitment within the company.

Although the assignment of gifts from the Team Wishlist is subjective and at the discretion of the company's CEO, Jonathan Polotto, and COO Claudio Piazzai, the process incorporates a unique democratic element. Before any decision is made, the entire team is invited to participate in an anonymous survey to express their preference for who they believe deserves the gift for that quarter. This step acknowledges that colleagues often have a deep understanding of each other's commitment, hard work, and the extra miles someone might have gone.

This method of incorporating team feedback ensures that the recognition process is not only top-down but also reflects the sentiments and perceptions of the entire team. It recognizes the value of peer acknowledgment and the insights team members can offer about the dedication and qcontributions of their colleagues. By doing so, it reinforces a culture of transparency, respect, and collective recognition within Involve Space.

The anonymous questionnaire serves as a tool for empowering team members to have a say in the rewards process, enhancing the feeling of camaraderie and shared goals. It's a reminder that while leadership steers the company's direction, the success and achievements are deeply rooted in the collective effort of every individual in the team.

Through this nuanced approach to rewards and recognition, Involve Space strengthens its commitment to creating an environment where excellence is recognized, dedication is celebrated, and team cohesion is paramount.
